My husband and I always make it a point to surprise one another during our birthdays..... be it a surprise dinner, a party or a gift that you always wanted. Now this year i think he wanted to do something really different and something that i would not have guessed.
He took almost 4-6 months to prepare.... and for someone who is not from a singing background and esp in Tamil...... he took the trouble to learn one of my all time favorite song Vellai Pookal by A.R. Rahman from the movie Kannathil Muthamittal.
And on the night of my birthday, he sang the WHOLE SONG........close to 4-5 minutes without missing a word !!! I choked.... my heart literally stopped.... i was speechless.... I now have a husband who sings :)

Its a tamil movie produced and directed by Mani Ratnam. The film's score and soundtract was composed by A. R. Rahman. The story revolves around a child of Sri Lankan Tamil parentage adopted by indian parents, who desires to meet her biological mother in the midst of the Sri Lankan Civil War.
