Out Of Africa - Bar & Grill

Out Of Africa

We decided to try out something new

A new place, with a different environment & new dish for the kids to try out.

It was a friday night & we decided to take the kids out..... My husband & I are trying out all possibilities for the kids to enjoy their meal as much as they can & at the same time introducing new flavours that they might like & cultivating better eating habits in them.

We got to know about this Restaurant called Out Of Africa & decided to check it out.

Its situated at the

 PJ Palms Sports Centre
No 1, Lorong Sultan, Petaling Jaya
46200 Selangor, Malaysia

The place was quite huge with many sections. The had the garden section, terrace fanned smoking area, Air-conditioned non smoking area & their famous Kudu Bar which is a non smoking area

My 2 lil toddlers went crazy when they saw the kiddies playground ! They had swings & slide just beside the restaurant.... they will definitely be entertained for the night. Mummy was GLAD !

We were there around 7pm, the place was not so crowded & was kinda peaceful. We settled in comfortably, while the kids decided to snoop around the place.

The lil one was excited to see all the animal pictures around the place

Animal paintings on the walls

When you are there you feel as if you've been transported to the African World, with their diverse culture & tradition. You see many things that relates to the African Culture.

You can see many animal paintings on the walls. In Africa, each animal has a specific meaning to it. For example, the elephant signifies strength, wisdom & royalty. It also represents power.

My husband & I decided on the Pizzas. They had a wide variety of Pizza and these are some of it

Margherita - the basic with fresh basil

The Hawaiian - Turkey ham & pineapple

The Nkuku - Grilled Chicken, mushrooms, avocado and onions

The Cape - Pepperoni, anchovies, mushrooms & capers

The Bollywood - Spicy spinach with raita & spicy lamb sausage

The Big Blue - Blue cheese, cheddar cheese & mozzarella with or without sauce
( vegetarian )

We decided on the Nkuku pizza. Grilled chicken & mushrooms go so well together !

We enjoyed our pizza very much - it comes in thin crust which is homemade. Loved the grilled chicken pieces together with the juicy muchrooms. We also wanted it to be a lil spicy so we added the Tobasco to it !

We let the kids choose their own dishes and they decided on the fish & chips plus nuggets. This place offers kids menu.... and you have a whole list to choose from. Here are some of it

Penne with tomato or cheese sauce

Chicken breast nuggets

Two lamb chops

Mini sirloin steak

Fish & Chips

Hamburgers

Cheeseburgers

Their dishes comes with spinach and other vegetables. The kids ate all their fish , chips & nuggets. They didnt touch their spinach one bit though. Compared to the usual, the ate quite a big portion of the food. This is mainly because, they went to play at their playground in between hence they were extremely hungry and ate their dinner.

One thing that I really love about the place is that it had the playground for the kids to keep them occupied. I will definitely come back to this place to try out their other menu and of course maybe try out their Kudu Bar when my husband & I come alone without the kids ;)
